Liberian/ African Feminist Activist
Facia Boyenoh Harris is Liberian/ African Feminist Activist. A public servant currently working as Director for Outreach and Sanitization at the Independent Information Commission in Liberia. She is an experience journalist and currently with Master in Public sector Management from Cuttington University Graduate School, studying Law at the Louis Arthur Grimes School of Law at the University of Liberia
Facia Harris has nine years of experience working as a journalist reporting on human rights issues, particularly those concerning women and girls. Most recently, she worked with the United Nations Mission in Liberia Radio Station. Additionally, Harris has over ten years practical experience working as a volunteer on gender issues with the Paramount Young Women Initiative, inspiring girls through advocacy, planning, and implementing educational programs. As a Community Solutions Program Fellow, Harris seeks to acquire adequate knowledge and skills on gender programming, especially for women and girls that will bring about practical changes.
She intends to enhance girls’ and young women’s abilities to progressively engage their parents, community, and national leaders through dialogue on issues that promote their wellbeing and bridge gender gaps
